Your first dance is filmed by a professional videographer. The footage is colour corrected, edited and produced, so you can watch that moment back for the rest of your life.
Nobody does the same for the sound.
So we do.
Why almost no band offers this
It is not really a question of willingness. A recording is only ever as good as what was captured on the night, and very few wedding bands fully mic the drum kit and the guitars. Without that, there is no usable source audio to work with, and no amount of studio time can rescue it afterwards.
We track every instrument to its own channel as a matter of course. That means when the two of you step onto the floor, the performance is already being captured properly, and the recording of it is a finished piece of work rather than a souvenir of one.

From the dancefloor to the file
Four stages, and the first one has to happen on the night.
We mic everything
Full close miking on the kit, guitars and vocals, the way a studio session is tracked. Most bands run a couple of room mics at best, which is why most bands cannot offer this.
We capture it multitrack
Every instrument records to its own separate channel through the night, so nothing is baked together and everything stays adjustable afterwards.

Your first dance is mixed and mastered at Gallery Studios in London, an award winning room, by their lead engineer.
You keep the file
A finished, mastered audio file of the two of you dancing to a live band, rather than a phone clip buried in a camera roll.

What you get
Not a phone clip from the back of the room. A fully mixed and mastered audio file of the live performance, produced at Gallery Studios. It is a £300 add-on, which you can put straight into the quote calculator alongside everything else.
The clip you end up posting
The first dance gets filmed from every angle in the room, and the version that makes it to Instagram is usually whichever phone was nearest. The picture is almost always fine. The sound is the part that gives it away, because a phone microphone a few feet from a drum kit has no chance.
With a proper recording underneath it, the clip you share sounds the way the night actually sounded, rather than the way a phone heard it. It is the same thirty seconds either way. Only one of them is worth watching twice.
Putting the two together is straightforward. Pass the audio file to your videographer and they can sync it to their footage of your first dance, which is a routine job for them. If you would rather not manage that, send us the footage once it comes back and we will do it for you.
