We're Kinmara, a folk and indie pop wedding band fronted by a singing fiddle player. The first half of our opening set is proper folk: trad-leaning, fiddle-driven arrangements of songs your guests already know, before we shift gears into an indie pop party for the rest of the night.

We've played over a hundred weddings together as a band, and Kent has given us some of our favourites: Squerryes Court in Westerham, The Great Barn at Hole Park in Rolvenden, The Plough & Barn at Leigh near Tonbridge, and Port Lympne overlooking Romney Marsh. From the Weald down to the Marsh, we've learned this county's venues the only way you can, by loading in, playing the room and packing down at midnight.

Those barns taught us things no showreel does. A four-hundred-year-old Wealden barn is basically a giant wooden instrument. Fiddle and acoustic guitars fill it naturally, so the PA can stay polite and the noise limiter never blinks.
