Kinmara ("we", "us") is a live music band based in London, UK. This policy explains what personal information we collect through kinmara.com, why we collect it, and your rights over it.

Who we are. The data controller is Kinmara. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@kinmara.com.

What we collect and why. When you use our instant quote calculator or contact us through the site, we collect the details you provide: typically your name, email address, event date, venue or event location, and any information you include in a message. We use this information to calculate and send your quote, respond to your enquiry, and manage your booking if you choose to book us. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract if you go ahead.

If you book us, we may also keep records needed to run the business — such as invoices and booking agreements — which we retain because the law requires it (our legal obligation basis, for example for tax records).

What we don't do. We do not sell your information. We do not use it for third-party advertising. We do not send marketing emails unless you have specifically asked us to keep in touch, and you can opt out at any time.

Where your information lives. Enquiry and quote details are stored in our booking database, hosted by our infrastructure providers. Like many small businesses we rely on established service providers for hosting, database services and email; these providers process data on our behalf under their own contractual safeguards. Some providers may store data outside the UK; where that happens, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and embedded content. Our site keeps cookie use to a minimum. Pages on this site include embedded content from third parties — such as YouTube videos and Google Maps — which may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies when you interact with them. We do not run analytics tracking on this site.

How long we keep things. Enquiry details that don't lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Booking and financial records are kept for six years in line with UK tax requirements.

Your rights. Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@kinmara.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes. If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date above.
